GCWUF Unveils State-of-the-Art Sports & Fitness Arena

Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) has marked a new milestone in women’s health, fitness, and empowerment with the inauguration of its cutting-edge Sports & Fitness Arena. The facility was formally opened by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), who served as Chief Guest at the ceremony, while Divisional Sports Officer Ms. Sajida Latif graced the event as Special Guest.

The new arena is equipped with modern fitness machines, as well as indoor badminton and table tennis courts, creating a dynamic environment where recreation and well-being complement academic excellence. Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Ameen stressed the importance of fostering both mental and physical strength, stating that “a strong mind grows in a healthy body.” She highlighted her vision for GCWUF as a vibrant campus where fitness, leadership, and innovation work in harmony.

The Vice Chancellor commended the Department of Health & Physical Education for spearheading the initiative and acknowledged the Chief Engineer for the timely execution of the project. Guest of Honour Ms Sajida Latif praised Dr Ameen’s efforts in promoting women’s sports and announced that GCWUF players would receive free fitness training at Crescent Sports Complex.
