Top engineering and technology talent took center stage as the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology successfully hosted GIKI Career Fair 2026, drawing participation from more than 90 leading national and multinational companies. The event served as a major recruitment and engagement platform, offering students direct access to employment, assessment, and internship opportunities across diverse industries.
Designed to strengthen industry–academia linkages, GIKI Career Fair 2026 enabled corporate leaders to interact closely with students through on-the-spot shortlisting, interviews, and in-depth discussions on career pathways and future skill requirements. The strong corporate turnout reflected growing confidence in GIKI’s academic standards and graduate readiness.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr Ashar Aziz, President of the GIKI Board of Governors, alongside Senator Saleem Saifullah Khan, President SOPREST and President of the GIKI Board of Governors, Engr Salim Saifullah Khan, Executive Director SOPREST, Mr. Shakil Durrani, and Members of the GIKI Board of Governors including Mr Osman Saifullah Khan and Dr Muhammad Zubair Khan.
Addressing participants, Prof Dr Fazal Khalid, SI, Rector GIKI, highlighted the Institute’s strategic focus on innovation, sustainability, and industry-driven education. He reaffirmed GIKI’s commitment to nurturing globally competitive graduates equipped to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s technological advancement and economic growth.
Senator Saleem Saifullah Khan emphasized the critical role of the private sector in national development and underscored the importance of sustained, structured collaboration between academia and industry to build a resilient and future-ready workforce.
In his keynote address, Chief Guest Mr Ashar Aziz spoke on the theme of responsible artificial intelligence, stressing the need for ethical, sustainable, and human-centric AI systems capable of addressing emerging national and global challenges. His remarks resonated strongly with students and industry professionals alike, particularly in the context of rapidly evolving technologies.
