The 1st International Conference on Health Professionals’ Education, Research & Entrepreneurship (ICHPERE 2025) concluded at the Health Services Academy (HSA) Shahpur Campus Islamabad, marking a major step toward advancing health education, research, and innovation in Pakistan. The two-day event brought together national and international experts, scholars, policymakers, and health leaders committed to strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare future.
Organised in collaboration with COMSTECH and the Prime Institute of Health Sciences, the conference featured keynote addresses, scientific sessions, and interactive discussions on modernising health education, promoting research excellence, and fostering entrepreneurship within the health sector. Speakers underscored the need for integrated learning models, innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and data-driven policymaking to uplift healthcare delivery across Pakistan.
The inaugural session was attended by prominent figures, including Prof Dr Shahzad Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor HSA; Major General Tariq Zamir, HI(M) Retd; Prof Dr Rizwan Taj, President PMDC; Major General Prof Dr Najam Saqib Khan HI(M), T.Bt, Retd; Prof Dr Janet Grant from University College London Medical School, UK; Prof Dr Ahmed Rashid from LSHTM, UK; Prof Dr Samina Naeem of HSA; Prof Dr Iqbal Khan, Vice Chancellor STMU; Prof Dr Syed Zafar Ilyas, Vice Chancellor Kohat University of Science and Technology; Prof Dr Junaid Sarfraz Khan, Rector/Director Academics HSA, along with senior faculty and distinguished representatives from leading health institutions.
Special appreciation was extended to Mr Abdul Wajid, Chairman PRIME Institute of Health Sciences Islamabad, for his continued support and contribution to strengthening health education and capacity-building initiatives nationwide.
Participants from various universities, research organisations, and professional bodies shared insights, presented innovative projects, and discussed strategies to enhance academic leadership and institutional cooperation.
