HEC Concludes Professional Training for 50 IPFP Fellows

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has successfully concluded a three-week Professional Development Training Programme for the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) Cohhort-V, aimed at enhancing the teaching and research capacities of early-career academics across Pakistan.

Held at the National Institute of Banking and Finance, Islamabad, the programme brought together 50 IPFP fellows for intensive training focused on building professional competencies essential for effective university teaching and impactful research careers.

The closing ceremony was attended by Dr Zia ul Haq, Executive Director HEC, as the chief guest, alongside Dr Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Mr Muneer Ahmed, Director NAHE, senior faculty members, and programme facilitators.

In his remarks, Dr Zia ul Haq commended NAHE for efficiently organising and managing the extensive training cohort. He highlighted the value of the diverse and demanding modules delivered by experienced trainers, noting their importance in preparing fellows for the evolving challenges of higher education.

Dr Noor Amna Malik congratulated the participants on successfully completing the rigorous programme. She emphasized that the IPFP training has been designed as a comprehensive, structured, and outcome-driven learning journey to equip fresh PhDs with the skills needed to excel in academic environments.
