The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has extended free access to Coursera for learners enrolled under its Digital Learning and Skills Enhancement Initiative (DLSEI) until December 20, 2025. The move ensures that thousands of students can continue pursuing globally recognized online courses and certifications at no cost.
In an official notice, the HEC urged participants to maximize the extended timeframe by completing pending coursework and earning professional certifications. The initiative, designed in collaboration with top-ranking international universities and industry leaders, aims to equip Pakistani students with modern, future-ready skills while promoting digital education across the country.
Through the DLSEI project, learners have enjoyed unrestricted access to thousands of courses, guided projects, and professional certificates in fields such as technology, data science, business, languages, and personal development. Coursera, a leading global learning platform, hosts content from prestigious institutions like Stanford University, the University of Michigan, Google, and IBM, adding substantial value to the credentials earned.
