HEC Revamps Business Programs to Shape Future Leaders

In a major step toward modernizing business education in Pakistan, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a comprehensively revised curriculum for all Business and Management degree programs.

The updated curriculum was finalized by the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) during a meeting hosted at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) in Peshawar. The session brought together leading academicians and industry experts from across the country, coordinated by HEC’s Curriculum Division.

Covering programs such as BBA, BS, MBA, EMBA, MS, and Associate Degrees, the revamped framework aims to align business education with global standards and evolving industry demands. The revision emphasizes practical relevance, market adaptability, and academic excellence to ensure graduates are well-equipped for the challenges of the modern business environment.

The new curriculum is also fully synchronized with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and HEC’s 2023 Undergraduate and Graduate Education Policies, ensuring coherence and consistency across higher education institutions.

The NCRC session was chaired by Dr Naukhez Sarwar, Principal of NUST Business School, with Dr Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Provost of KSBL Karachi, as Co-Convener, and Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director at HEC, serving as Secretary.
