Hungary Offers 400 Scholarships to Pakistani Students

Hungary has unveiled 400 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students as part of its academic exchange program. The announcement was made during Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó’s official visit to Islamabad, where the two nations signed multiple agreements to enhance cooperation in various fields.

Szijjártó disclosed that over 1,700 Pakistani students have already applied for the scholarships, which aim to support talented individuals in pursuing higher education. Speaking at a joint press conference with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, he highlighted the role of education in strengthening bilateral relations and praised Pakistan as a trusted partner.

Dar expressed gratitude for Hungary’s initiative, stating that the scholarships would provide Pakistani students with valuable international exposure and contribute to the country’s progress. He also acknowledged Hungary’s consistent support in education, trade, and diplomacy.

The announcement coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Hungary. During the visit, both nations also inked agreements to boost collaboration in trade, industry, and cultural exchange.
