Former Provincial Minister and President of the University of Management and Technology (UMT) Ibrahim Hasan Murad has congratulated Tarique Rahman, Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), on his electoral success, describing it as a positive step toward strengthening democratic stability in South Asia.
In a statement issued on February 13, Murad said that political stability in Dhaka carries significant importance for peace and cooperation across the region. He noted that the continuation of democratic processes not only strengthens governance within Bangladesh but also contributes to broader regional harmony and development.
Murad emphasized that Pakistan is keen to build a new chapter of relations with Bangladesh, grounded in mutual respect and shared interests. He highlighted that economic collaboration and constructive engagement among neighboring countries are essential for achieving sustainable growth and long-term peace.
He further underlined that regional progress is closely tied to collective prosperity, stressing that improved ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh could unlock new opportunities for trade, connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
