Ibrahim Murad Pays Glowing Tribute to Defense Day Heroes

President of the University of Management and Technology (UMT) and former provincial minister, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, has paid glowing tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs, veterans, and armed forces on the country’s 60th Defense Day.

Murad described September 6 as a “golden chapter in our history,” symbolizing the courage, sacrifice, and unity of a nation that stood resolute in the face of aggression. Recalling the 1965 war, he said Pakistan’s armed forces gave a fitting response to the enemy and elevated the nation’s pride.

Highlighting the spirit of Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, Murad noted that the defining moments of September 1965 reflected the unbreakable bond between the people and the military. “It set an enduring example of unity, discipline, and selflessness before the world,” he said, adding that such lessons continue to guide future generations.

The UMT president emphasized the importance of instilling patriotism among Pakistan’s youth. He urged educational institutions to nurture national pride, moral values, and a sense of service, so that tomorrow’s leaders can contribute effectively to the country’s progress and stability.
