The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) has confirmed that Karachi University will conduct its PhD entrance examination on Sunday, December 28, as part of the second phase of admissions for the 2025 PhD program. The test will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the LEJ Information Center, with dozens of candidates expected to appear.
According to ICCBS, only students who successfully clear both the written test and subsequent interview will be eligible for admission to the Dr Panjwani Center and the HEJ Research Institute. Candidates have been instructed to reach the venue by 9:30 am with their admit card and original CNIC, as entry without proper identification will not be allowed.
The results of the entrance exam will be displayed on the ICCBS and Karachi University websites on January 5, 2026. Interview sessions for shortlisted applicants are scheduled from January 6 to 9, 2026, followed by the publication of the final merit list on January 16, 2026.

University officials emphasized that admissions will be awarded purely on merit in line with Karachi University’s higher education policy.
