In a devastating turn of events, Kinnaird College for Women (KCW) has been plunged into mourning following the tragic deaths of two of its students, Ayda Faheem and Eman Rauf, in separate incidents.
Earlier this morning, 19-year-old Ayda Faheem tragically lost her life after falling from a balcony on campus. According to the college’s official statement, the incident occurred around 7:50 AM when Ayda reportedly felt dizzy and lost her balance. College authorities acted swiftly, calling emergency services within two minutes. Rescue 1122 arrived within ten minutes and transported Ayda to the nearest medico-legal hospital, accompanied by senior college staff. Despite all efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Authorities preserved and thoroughly reviewed the scene as part of a formal investigation.
In a separate sorrowful development, Eman Rauf, another student of the college, passed away this morning as well. Eman had been battling for her life after suffering critical burn injuries at her home last Thursday.
The double tragedy has sent shockwaves through the Kinnaird community. Both Ayda and Eman were described as bright, compassionate, and deeply cherished members of the student body. Their sudden loss has left a profound void among classmates, teachers, and friends.
Kinnaird College issued a heartfelt message expressing its deepest condolences to the grieving families and reaffirmed its commitment to standing by them during this incredibly difficult time. “Their absence leaves a void that can never truly be filled,” the college said in its statement.
The college also commended the strength and compassion displayed by its faculty, staff, and students in responding to the incidents, stating that their unity reflected the core values of the Kinnaird community.
As investigations continue and the college community grapples with the loss, students and staff are expected to gather in the coming days to honor the memories of Ayda and Eman with prayer vigils and memorial services.
