The Chief Executive Officer of KIPS Education System, Abid Wazir Khan, was reportedly abducted on Thursday evening in the Johar Town area of Lahore, prompting serious concern among his family and colleagues and triggering an active police investigation.
According to a First Information Report filed by his brother, Tahir Wazir Khan, who serves as director of finance at KIPS, Abid Khan left his office around 6:00 pm and was driving when the incident occurred. During his journey, he was speaking on the phone with a staff member when the call was suddenly interrupted by unusual sounds.
The staff member reportedly heard loud banging on the car window and voices accusing Khan of hitting another vehicle. Moments later, the call disconnected, and Khan’s mobile phone was switched off shortly afterward, raising alarm about his safety.
In the complaint, Tahir Khan expressed deep concern for his brother’s life, stating his belief that Abid Khan had been forcibly taken by unknown individuals. The family has appealed to authorities to intensify efforts to locate him and ensure his safe recovery.
Police officials confirmed that an investigation is underway and that multiple teams have been mobilized to trace Khan’s whereabouts. They said they are reviewing available evidence, including call records and possible surveillance footage, as part of the ongoing inquiry.
