Pakistan has taken a major step toward modernizing its public education system as the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) partnered with Tech Valley Pakistan to digitally transform K-12 learning nationwide, granting all public schools free access to Canva for Education’s premium creative tools.
The collaboration was formalized through a Letter of Understanding signed at a ceremony chaired by Minister of State Wajiha Qamar, setting the stage for a multi-phase national rollout scheduled to begin in 2026. The initiative is designed to bridge the digital divide by equipping students and educators with advanced creative and collaborative resources used globally.
Describing the agreement as a significant milestone, Minister Wajiha Qamar said the partnership would help build a digitally inclusive education system by enabling students to express themselves and collaborate at an international standard. She emphasized that access to premium digital tools would enhance creativity, communication, and engagement across classrooms.
Under the agreement, Tech Valley Pakistan will oversee technical integration, including secure Single Sign-On configuration to ensure managed and seamless access for schools. A key component of the initiative is the Canva Champion Program, a train-the-trainer model aimed at long-term sustainability. Selected educators from each institution will be certified as master trainers and tasked with promoting effective use of the platform within their schools.
Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley Pakistan and MENA, said the partnership is focused on building a sustainable digital ecosystem that allows Pakistani students to learn and create using the same premium tools relied upon by professionals worldwide. He noted that empowering educators is central to ensuring meaningful and lasting impact.
The initiative has also drawn strong private-sector support, with senior representatives from Jazz attending the signing ceremony, underscoring a shared commitment to advancing digital inclusion in education.
