Multan University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced a landmark collaboration with LUMSx, the digital learning platform of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), to offer Data Science and Python courses to its Computer Science students. The partnership is being hailed as a transformative step in raising the standard of computer science education in South Punjab.
The initiative will enable MUST students to benefit from LUMS’ internationally competitive curriculum, advanced teaching methodologies, and digital learning expertise. This collaboration ensures that learners in Multan and neighboring regions can access top-tier computer science education without relocating to larger cities.
MUST, a Higher Education Commission–recognized and Punjab government–chartered institution, has been steadily emerging as a hub of excellence in South Punjab. Offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across disciplines such as Veterinary Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Law, Business Management, and Information Technology, the university is now making significant strides in technology education.
Highlighting the importance of the collaboration, university officials stated that the partnership with LUMSx will prepare graduates to thrive in fields like artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and data science—areas experiencing soaring global demand.
