Nawaz Sharif Center of Excellence: Free Premium Preschool

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially opened Pakistan’s first-ever Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Education on Thursday, named in honor of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The Nawaz Sharif Center of Excellence (NSCoE) is equipped with colorful classrooms, cutting-edge teaching tools, a gym, swimming pool, and an art studio, offering free, world-class education to young learners—matching the standards of elite private schools.

To mark the grand opening, CM Maryam Nawaz rang the preschool bell, signaling the start of a new era in government-run early education. Notably, Muhammad Yusuf, son of Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, became one of the first students enrolled—making his father the first provincial minister to admit his child to a public school.

During her visit, Maryam Nawaz inspected every section of the facility, from classrooms to the swimming pool, stressing strict safety measures and hygiene standards. She even joined the kids on the floor, sang a traffic signal song, and handed out gifts—winning praise from parents.

“No other institution in Pakistan provides such high-quality early education for free,” Maryam stated, highlighting the center’s unmatched facilities and commitment to nurturing young minds.
