An evocative art exhibition featuring portrait artworks of the Chiefs of Pakistan’s Army, Air Force, and Navy, alongside depictions of defining moments in the country’s history, was held at the Tollinton Block of the National College of Arts (NCA). The exhibition powerfully highlighted themes of national unity and sacrifice, with a special focus on 6 September 1965 and May 2025, moments that symbolize resilience and collective resolve.
The exhibition was visited by Dr Warda Naqvi, wife of Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi. During her visit, Dr Warda Naqvi praised the NCA artists for their thoughtful and impactful portrayal of the courage, discipline, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. She acknowledged the vital role played by the armed forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, peace, and stability, and commended the artists for translating these values into a compelling visual narrative.
Vice Chancellor NCA, Mrs & Prof Dr Murtaza Jafri, speaking on the occasion, stated that the exhibition reflects the concept of “Bunyan-ul-Marsoos,” a symbol of unity, strength, and an unbreakable defense forged through the bond between the nation and its armed forces. He added that the exhibition serves as a tribute to the martyrs, brave soldiers, and citizens whose sacrifices have ensured the security and sovereignty of Pakistan.
