The National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) has announced an Independence Day Poster Competition 2026 to commemorate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day and provide university students with a platform to showcase their creativity, patriotism and vision for the country’s future.
Organized under the theme “Celebrating 79 Years of Pakistan’s Independence,” the competition invites university students from across Pakistan to create original posters reflecting the spirit of independence, national unity, resilience, cultural heritage, progress and the country’s achievements over the past 79 years.
According to NTC, the initiative is aimed at encouraging young people to creatively express their connection with Pakistan’s national identity and values while highlighting their aspirations for a stronger and more progressive nation.
The competition also offers cash prizes to recognize outstanding creative work. Shortlisted posters will be printed and displayed at NTC Headquarters as part of the organization’s Independence Day celebrations.
Interested students are required to submit their original artwork according to the prescribed specifications by August 10, 2026, before 5:00 PM. Entries can be submitted via email at business@ntc.net.pk.
The submitted posters will be evaluated on several criteria, including originality, relevance to the competition theme, creativity, visual appeal, effectiveness of the message and color harmony.
Commenting on the initiative, NTC Managing Director Maj. Gen. (R) Ali Farhan, HI (M) said that Independence Day represents a celebration of Pakistan’s shared history, sacrifices and aspirations for the future. He said the poster competition would provide young people with an opportunity to express their patriotism, creativity and vision for a stronger and more progressive Pakistan.
The NTC Managing Director also encouraged university students from across the country to participate in the competition and become part of the national Independence Day celebrations.
The poster competition is part of NTC’s broader Independence Day activities and reflects the organization’s focus on youth engagement, national unity and the promotion of creativity through meaningful public initiatives.
