Okara University Welcomes Russian Media to Capture Its Academic Spirit

A delegation from Russia’s My Planet TV channel visited the University of Okara (UoO) to document campus life and explore prospects of academic collaboration. The visit was arranged on the special invitation of Dr Ekaterina Gavrishyk, Director External Linkages, as part of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Sajjad Mubin’s vision to strengthen international partnerships in education, research, and industry.

The two-member media team spent a full day at the campus, engaging with the Vice Chancellor, faculty, and students while filming various aspects of academic and co-curricular life. During their interaction with the faculty, the delegates held in-depth discussions on Russia’s cultural and educational landscape.

The University’s Quality Enhancement Cell also delivered a presentation highlighting UoO’s achievements, current projects, and future goals. The visitors praised the lush greenery, modern infrastructure, and energetic learning environment of the campus.

Later, the Russian journalists met with students to discuss potential scholarship opportunities and career prospects in the Russian Federation. They also recorded students’ personal stories and experiences, capturing the spirit of the university’s dynamic community for their feature segment.
