Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has emphasized the urgent need to strengthen Pakistan-China collaboration in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), calling it a cornerstone for sustainable economic development.
Speaking during his visit to the Luban Workshop in Tianjin, a flagship Chinese institution for vocational training, Dar highlighted the crucial link between skilled workforce development and long-term economic prosperity. According to a press release issued on Sunday, he underscored that enhancing TVET cooperation is not only vital for Pakistan’s human capital development but also an integral part of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
Dar described the initiative as a strategic investment that will provide the Pakistani workforce with modern technical skills, opening doors to industrial growth, innovation, and greater employment opportunities. He further noted that equipping youth with advanced skills will enable Pakistan to meet the demands of evolving industries and global markets.
