Pakistan at GETEX 2025: Debut Pavilion Showcases Educational Excellence

Pakistan made history at the Global Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2025 in Dubai by unveiling its first-ever national pavilion, highlighting the country’s academic prowess on an international stage. The milestone event was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, alongside Dr Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP).

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 30 to May 2, GETEX is the region’s premier platform for student recruitment. The Pakistan Pavilion serves as a hub to promote the country’s educational opportunities, with a 35-member delegation of vice-chancellors and academic leaders representing top private universities.

Consul General Muhammad praised the strong turnout, calling it a testament to Pakistan’s rising academic innovation and global competitiveness. He applauded APSUP’s efforts in organizing the delegation and emphasized the importance of such platforms in boosting Pakistan’s international academic presence.

In a notable visit, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, toured the Pakistan Pavilion. He commended the initiative as a positive stride toward stronger UAE-Pakistan educational collaboration and pledged full support for future engagements.

The UAE, home to over a million Pakistani expatriates, remains a key partner for Pakistan, with deepening economic and cultural ties. Recent agreements between the two nations aim to further enhance trade and investment, leveraging geographic proximity and mutual cooperation.

This landmark participation at GETEX underscores Pakistan’s commitment to expanding its global educational footprint while fostering stronger ties with the UAE.
