Pakistan Education Expo Empowers Bangladeshi Youth

Dhaka witnessed the largest-ever Pakistan Education Expo, organized by the Pakistan High Commission in collaboration with Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC). The event featured representatives from over 15 leading Pakistani universities and drew strong interest from Bangladeshi students eager to explore higher education opportunities.

The expo forms a central part of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, an initiative launched during the August visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. A key highlight of the corridor is the provision of 500 scholarships for Bangladeshi students to study in Pakistan.

Md Mahbub-ul-Alam, Secretary of Bangladesh’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, attended as the chief guest, alongside senior officials from the University Grants Commission, local vice-chancellors, and a large student contingent. In his address, he hailed the initiative as a milestone in strengthening educational collaboration and advancing youth empowerment through skill development.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner Imran Haider emphasized that the expo delivers on commitments made by the Deputy Prime Minister and will enhance academic mobility, joint research, and prepare students for careers in medicine, engineering, IT, and artificial intelligence.
