Pakistan is set to make a strong impression on the global academic stage as a high-level delegation prepares to participate in the Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE) 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye, from April 7 to 9. With a dedicated national pavilion, the country aims to highlight its growing strength in higher education, research, and innovation while fostering meaningful international collaborations.
A 42-member delegation comprising senior academic leaders and institutional representatives will represent Pakistan at the prestigious summit. The group will be led by Prof Dr Chaudhry Abdul Rehman and will include participants from some of the country’s leading universities. Among the institutions showcasing their academic excellence at the Pakistan Pavilion are Superior University, University of Lahore, University of Faisalabad, University of Sialkot, Lahore Leads University, Iqra University, Riphah International University, Preston University, City University, CECOS University, Institute of Business Management, and GIFT University.
The Pakistan Pavilion is expected to serve as a focal point for international engagement, offering a dynamic platform for universities to present their programs, research achievements, and innovation-driven initiatives. It will also facilitate networking opportunities with global institutions, enabling the exchange of ideas and the development of strategic partnerships.
In addition to university participation, key organizations such as COMSTECH, Sindh Higher Education Commission, Bahria University, and the University of South Asia will contribute to discussions on policy, research collaboration, and academic advancement. Their involvement underscores a coordinated national effort to position Pakistan as an emerging hub for higher education and research.
Beyond the summit, the delegation’s itinerary includes visits to leading Turkish universities and participation in official receptions hosted by APSUP leadership and EURIE organizers. These engagements are expected to lead to a series of academic meetings, collaboration discussions, and the signing of memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
