PEF Mandates Female-Only Teachers for Girls High Schools

The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has mandated that only female teachers can instruct students in high and higher secondary classes at its partner girls’ schools. The directive, reported by City42, immediately bans male teachers from these sections.

In a formal order issued to school administrations, the PEF has instructed strict compliance with the new gender-specific policy. Foundation officials stated that the decision aims to foster a safer and more comfortable learning environment for female students, arguing that the presence of male teachers was adversely affecting the academic atmosphere.
