The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has introduced a major change in the examination process for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025 by abolishing the screening test stage.
According to an official notification, the commission has decided to do away with the preliminary screening test that was previously conducted to shortlist candidates for the main written examination. Under the revised policy, all eligible candidates who successfully submit their applications for CCE 2025 will be allowed to appear directly in the main written examinations.
The move is aimed at streamlining the recruitment process and reducing the number of examination stages for aspirants, providing them with direct access to the core assessment phase of the competitive examination.
The PPSC has advised candidates to align their preparation strategies with the main written examination, as it will now serve as the first formal evaluation stage. The commission added that the detailed schedule for CCE 2025, including dates for the written examinations and subsequent interviews, will be announced in due course.
