Punjab’s educational boards are introducing a new results access system that will allow parents to directly view their children’s academic performance. Starting from the 2026 academic year, parents will be able to check exam results using their own CNIC numbers, ensuring that students can no longer conceal their marks from their families.
In the first phase, the system will cover ninth and tenth-grade results, with plans to expand it later to include intermediate-level examinations. The change is expected to affect a large number of families, as the Lahore Board alone handles results for over a million matric and intermediate students each year.

Officials say the initiative aims to promote transparency and strengthen parental involvement in education. The move follows concerns over low pass percentages in recent matric exams, prompting calls for improved academic support and accountability across Punjab’s schools.
