In a significant change to the province’s education system, the Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has declared that annual examinations for Grade 5 and Grade 8 will now be conducted as formal board examinations.
According to the official schedule released by the authority, the registration process for these board exams will commence in November. The Grade 5 board examinations are scheduled to begin on February 9, followed by the Grade 8 board exams starting February 16.
Students in Grade 5 have been allotted a specific window from November 3 to November 15 to complete their admission and registration formalities. PECTAA has confirmed that the results for both grade levels will be declared simultaneously on March 31, 2026.
