The Punjab government has launched a landmark initiative, the “Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence,” aimed at providing top-quality education to underprivileged students in the province’s most remote regions. Covering 165 tehsils, the program invites private educational institutions with modern infrastructure to partner with the government in establishing these schools, with applications open until November 14.

Selected students will benefit from fully free education, supported by a monthly Rs. 4,000 tuition fee subsidy provided directly to the schools. The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) will oversee the project, ensuring high educational standards and monitoring school performance. Officials say the initiative seeks to bridge the educational divide and elevate learning outcomes in Punjab’s less-developed areas, offering new opportunities to students who previously lacked access to quality schooling.
