UHS Unveils First MBBS Merit List for Private Colleges

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has issued the first selection list for MBBS admissions in private medical colleges across Punjab, setting the provincial lowest closing merit at 75.9465 percent. According to the announcement, Lahore’s Al Aleem Medical College has emerged at the top with a closing merit of 92.7136 percent, followed by Sharif Medical and Dental College at 91.6586 percent, Shalamar Medical and Dental College at 90.6364 percent, and FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry at 90.1348 percent. Several Lahore and Rawalpindi institutions reported closing merits ranging from the high to low 80s.

Medical colleges in Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lodhran, Narowal, and Kasur also made the list. Queens Medical College for Women in Kasur recorded the lowest merit in the current round at 75.9465 percent. UHS officials confirmed that a total of 4,350 MBBS seats are being offered across 33 private colleges this year.

Selected candidates are required to download an initial admission fee challan of Rs. 600,000 from the UHS admission portal and deposit the payment by December 30. The portal further allows applicants to either retain their current allocated seat or apply for an upgrade. Those choosing to seek an upgrade must complete the online joining process by uploading proof of fee submission.

Applicants who have secured their first-choice institution and intend to retain their placement must submit written joining at the concerned college and pay the remaining admission dues before the December 30 deadline. The complete list of selected candidates and admission procedures has been uploaded on the UHS website. A spokesperson stated that the second selection list will be published on January 1.
