UoE Students Shine at 9th International Industrial Expo

The University of Education (UoE) Lahore, made a strong mark at the 9th International Industrial Expo held at the Expo Centre, Lahore, where its Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) showcased over 30 groundbreaking student-led innovations.

From cutting-edge safety tools to AI-powered systems, UoE students impressed visitors with practical solutions designed to tackle pressing challenges. Among the standout projects were a “smart accident-preventing helmet system,” a “smart traffic light control system,” an “AI-based agriculture disease detection system,” a “lungs pumping system,” and a “fire detection system.”

The UoE stall drew significant attention from students, faculty members, industry representatives, and international delegates. One of the highlights of the event was the visit of the Ambassador of Rwanda, who praised the creativity and problem-solving approach of UoE’s young researchers.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aqif Anwar Chaudhry, while addressing the occasion, expressed pride in the university’s contribution. “The participation of the University of Education in this international expo is a proud moment for us. Our students’ inventions demonstrate not only their academic brilliance but also their commitment to solving societal problems through innovation and technology. We are determined to continue supporting such initiatives that link academia with industry and open new opportunities for our youth at national and international levels.”
