UoE Hosts International Mathematics Conference CORAM 2025

The University of Education (UoE) Lahore, launched the third edition of its prestigious International Conference on “Recent Advances in Mathematics” (CORAM 2025). Organized by the Department of Mathematics, this two-day event is hosting an impressive gathering of 157 national and international scholars from countries including the USA, Türkiye, China, Canada, Denmark, Morocco, Portugal, Malaysia, Iraq, Thailand, Lebanon, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Pakistan.

The conference’s opening ceremony was held at the UoE’s main Township Campus, presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aqif Anwar Chaudhry. The Chief Guest for the event was Prof Dr Muhammad Omer Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor of Government College University (GCU) Lahore. In his welcome address, Conference Chair Prof Dr Muhammad Azam extended his gratitude to all participants and highlighted the significance and goals of CORAM 2025.

A unique aspect of this year’s conference is its simultaneous organization across three campuses of the University of Education—Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad—marking a milestone in the institution’s history of academic outreach and collaboration.

Addressing the audience, Prof Dr Aqif Anwar Chaudhry emphasized the University’s commitment to fostering a culture of research, innovation, and global academic partnership. “This conference is not just a meeting of minds, but a platform where groundbreaking ideas will be shared to address modern challenges in mathematics and its applications,” he stated. He also highlighted the presence of renowned mathematicians from across the globe as a testament to the event’s growing academic prestige.

In his remarks, Chief Guest Prof Dr Muhammad Omer Chaudhry praised the UoE’s leadership and organizing team for successfully coordinating an event of such magnitude. “The theme of this conference is central to scientific progress. It encourages meaningful dialogue, collaborative research, and innovative thinking that transcends borders,” he said, noting the enriching impact of diverse international participation.

The event was attended by a large number of faculty members, staff, and students. Prominent among them were Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Alam Saeed, Prof Dr Rana Abrar Hussain, Prof Dr Saminz Mazhar, and Prof Dr Muhammad Umar Saleem.

CORAM 2025 will feature 157 research paper presentations and is expected to foster new academic linkages, encourage cutting-edge discourse, and pave the way for future research in mathematical sciences.
