Young Student Dies from Alleged Beating at Illegal Madrasa

In a heartbreaking incident from Chaliyar village in Khwazakhela Tehsil of Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a young madrasa student named Farhan tragically lost his life due to alleged physical abuse by his teachers. Following the incident, authorities sealed the illegal madrasa and handed over 300 students to their parents.

According to Dawn News, District Police Officer (DPO) Swat, Muhammad Umar, confirmed the boy’s death as a deeply saddening event. He stated that police acted swiftly upon receiving the report and registered a case on behalf of the police.

The First Information Report (FIR) names four key suspects, with two of them already arrested. In addition, nine other individuals associated with the case have also been taken into custody.

DPO Umar revealed that the madrasa was operating illegally. When police arrived at the scene, they interviewed other children who also reported instances of abuse. An FIR under Section 302 (murder) has been registered, along with charges under the Child Protection Act.

Authorities also recovered tools believed to have been used to physically abuse the children, indicating a long-standing pattern of systematic violence. Police have since contacted the parents of all the children, safely returned them, and sealed the madrasa.

DPO Umar stressed that the case will proceed without any political pressure and vowed to ensure justice is served.
