ADEL 2025 will commence with a five-day leadership program from December 7–11, followed by participation in the Atlantic Dialogues conference from December 11–13. Who Can Apply?

The Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program is open to passionate young professionals who meet the following criteria:

•Between 25 and 35 years old
•Residents or citizens of countries within the Atlantic Basin (Africa, North/Central/South America, Europe, or the Caribbean)
•Proficiency in English is required
•Able to participate in the full program from December 7–13, 2025
•Eager to create positive impact in their communities or fields (public, private, or civil society sectors)
•Demonstrated leadership potential and a strong professional track record
•Open to engaging across cultures and contributing to the ADEL network

What is the Application Process?

To apply for the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program, candidates must submit the following documents:

•Resume/CV
A maximum of 2 pages in PDF format

•Personal Statement
A maximum of 250 words detailing your perspective on today’s leadership challenges and your role in the Atlantic space

•One-Minute Private YouTube Video. Answering the following questions
•Who are you and what’s your field of work?
•What drives your work and its impact?
•Why are you applying to ADEL?
•How will you contribute to and benefit from the program?

All documents must be submitted in English. The YouTube video must be uploaded privately and accessible only to those with the link. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

What is the Selection Process?

The selection process for the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program is highly competitive. A selection committee will review all applications and notify candidates in September 2025. Candidates will be assessed according to several criteria, including professional achievement and growth, leadership potential, demonstrated impact in their community or field, interest in issues affecting Wider Atlantic relations, and a clear commitment to global, Atlantic, and/or local engagement.
