The 9th Pakistan Industrial Expo 2025, jointly organized by the University of Sargodha (UoS) and Everest International Pvt. Ltd, successfully concluded at the Expo Center in Lahore after drawing significant participation from Pakistani and Chinese companies, investors, and academia.
The three-day event, which opened on September 27, was inaugurated by Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Communication and Law, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, who lauded the initiative as a timely effort to promote foreign investment and strengthen Pakistan’s industrial base.
The expo brought together around 200 companies from Pakistan and China, providing a platform for entrepreneurs, exporters, importers, and industry professionals to showcase products, explore partnerships, and discuss new projects. Students and academic leaders also engaged with industry experts, underscoring the importance of linking education with industrial development.
In his address at the inaugural ceremony, Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth emphasized Pakistan’s strategic importance in South Asia, describing it as a country rich in opportunities for investment. He praised the University of Sargodha and Everest International Pvt. Ltd for creating a platform that could attract international investors and highlighted the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China as a cornerstone of regional cooperation.
Vice Chancellor of UoS, Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas, stressed the role of such exhibitions in bridging the gap between academia and industry. He noted that collaboration between universities and the business sector is vital for national prosperity and expressed optimism about enhanced trade opportunities through partnerships between Pakistani and Chinese companies.
Mr Wang Zehai, Director of Everest International, also highlighted the growing potential of Pakistan’s trade and industrial sectors under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), predicting that continued investments would accelerate Pakistan’s economic growth.
The event also featured visits by the chief guest, university leaders, and senior officials to various stalls, where they interacted with company representatives and investors. Discussions revolved around trade opportunities, investment prospects, and future projects aimed at boosting both imports and exports.
