Binance Academy, the educational arm of Binance dedicated to blockchain and cryptocurrency learning, has teamed up with Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecom (MoITT) to enhance blockchain education nationwide. The initiative will provide specialized training for professors and educators, who will then pass on their knowledge to students at top universities across Pakistan. By 2026, the program aims to reach 20 universities, training 300 educators and up to 80,000 students to develop a skilled workforce ready to contribute to Pakistan’s and the global tech industry.
This collaboration expands on the Global University Outreach Program (GUOP), the largest Web3 education initiative worldwide, launched by Binance Academy and the Blockchain & AI Technology Center (BAITC). The program focuses on integrating blockchain into university curricula through open education, industry partnerships, and professional certifications.
Bader Al Kalooti, MEASA Head of Growth and Operations at Binance, emphasized the importance of blockchain education, stating, “As blockchain transforms finance, equipping people with the right skills is key to unlocking its potential. Our partnership with Pakistan’s IT Ministry is a major step toward building a tech-savvy workforce that can drive innovation in the digital economy.”
Pakistan’s Minister of IT and Telecom, Ms Shaza Fatima Khawaja, praised the initiative, saying, “Aligned with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for a digital Pakistan, this partnership strengthens our digital transformation efforts. By collaborating with Binance and BAITC, we’re preparing students with advanced blockchain knowledge, positioning Pakistan as a hub for global blockchain talent.”
