The British Council successfully concluded its Education Symposium 2025, bringing together educators, policymakers, and innovators from across Pakistan to chart new pathways for an inclusive and transformative education system. The day-long event provided a vibrant platform for collaboration, dialogue, and action aimed at strengthening learning outcomes through strategic partnerships and technology-driven innovation.
Opening the symposium, Michael Connolly, Director of English and School Education at the British Council, delivered a compelling keynote titled “The Future of English.” He highlighted the evolving role of English in the digital era and underscored its potential to promote equity, creativity, and connection in modern classrooms.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in panel discussions, talks, and interactive workshops that explored key issues shaping the future of education. Topics included skills development, progressive education policy, and the integration of digital tools to empower teachers and students as active agents of change.
“Today’s event brings lots of innovation and tons of inspiration together in one symposium,” said James Hampson, Country Director of the British Council Pakistan. “From young girls changing their lives through education to organisations driving better learning outcomes with AI, we are proud to connect people who want to make a difference.”

Workshops led by partner organisations such as Suno Kahani Meri Zubani, BrainSPACE, Taleemabad, ILMpact, and Science Fuse offered hands-on demonstrations of innovative and evidence-based teaching methods. These sessions showcased how storytelling, arts, and Artificial Intelligence can be seamlessly integrated into classrooms to inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among learners.
