Prof Dr Lubna Zaheer, Chairperson of the Department of Film and Broadcasting at Punjab University, was hosted at a distinguished dinner in her honour at Pakistan House in Baku. The event was graciously arranged by His Excellency Mr Qasim Mohiuddin, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
The evening served as a meaningful engagement aimed at celebrating the growing ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Dr Lubna expressed deep appreciation for Ambassador Mohiuddin’s remarkable diplomatic efforts, especially acknowledging his influential role in strengthening bilateral relations during recent tensions between Pakistan and India. She lauded Azerbaijan’s steadfast support for Pakistan — a result, she noted, of the Ambassador’s effective diplomacy.
Dr Lubna also highlighted Ambassador Mohiuddin’s instrumental contribution to the restoration of direct PIA flights between Pakistan and Baku, calling it a “significant step toward deepening bilateral cooperation and fostering people-to-people connections.”
Mrs Qasim Mohiuddin was also present at the dinner, and her warm hospitality added to the gracious ambiance of the evening.
