FDE Enforces Sweeping Security Measures in Schools

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has placed all public educational institutions in Islamabad on high alert, issuing stringent new directives aimed at strengthening security across the federal capital.

According to a report by 24NewsHD TV channel, schools and colleges have been instructed to immediately enhance their security arrangements. The FDE’s latest measures mandate significant deployment of security personnel at every entry and exit point, making on-ground vigilance compulsory.

The alert outlines a comprehensive security framework. All institutions are required to ensure uninterrupted functionality of CCTV cameras and metal detectors. Each school and college must establish a security and vigilance committee responsible for overseeing safety protocols. Watchmen are to remain on duty round the clock, supported by daily inspections and properly maintained logbooks.

The FDE has further directed institutions to maintain close coordination with their nearest police station and to report any suspicious activity without delay. A weekly security reporting system has also been enforced, requiring all institutions to submit detailed updates to the directorate.
