The Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, has congratulated organizers, partner universities, and students on the successful conclusion of the four-day 6th International Students Convention & Expo, describing it as a milestone in academic diplomacy and youth engagement.
In a statement issued following the closing ceremony, Dr Akhtar, who served as Patron-in-Chief of the event, praised the collective efforts that made the convention a success. He extended special appreciation to Muhammad Murtaza Noor, CEO and Founder of the International Students Convention, for his leadership and commitment to building a dynamic platform for student collaboration, innovation, and global engagement.
“Such initiatives play a critical role in fostering academic excellence, nurturing leadership, and promoting international cooperation among youth,” the HEC Chairman noted, adding that the Commission remains committed to supporting programs that advance quality higher education and empower students across Pakistan.
The 6th edition of the convention was jointly hosted by leading institutions including Quaid-i-Azam University, Riphah International University, PAF-IAST Haripur, and FAST University Islamabad. Over four days, the event featured more than 34 competitions, an innovation and education expo, symposia, cultural showcases, and leadership workshops.
The convention attracted participation from students representing over 25 countries, underscoring its growing global reach and significance as a platform for cross-cultural exchange and academic collaboration.

In a separate statement, the management of the International Students Convention & Expo expressed deep gratitude to the HEC Chairman for his continued guidance and support. A spokesperson acknowledged that his vision for internationalizing higher education and strengthening student engagement has been instrumental in elevating the convention to a globally recognized forum.
