IBCC Portal Set to Streamline Foreign Exam Boards

In a significant move towards modernizing educational oversight, the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has launched its state-of-the-art Regulatory Framework Portal, aimed at simplifying and regulating the operations of foreign examination boards in Pakistan. The unveiling ceremony took place at the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad and was officiated by the Honourable Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) Ms Wajeeha Qamar.

The new portal offers a centralized digital platform that allows international examination boards to register and seek authorization to offer their programs within Pakistan under IBCC’s regulatory framework. The initiative is being hailed as a step forward in promoting transparency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Speaking at the event, Executive Director IBCC, Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, emphasized the impact of the new system: “This portal is a step forward towards modernization and openness in academic regulation. By digitizing the approval process, IBCC is not only accelerating compliance but also reinforcing quality assurance mechanisms across the education spectrum.”

Minister Wajeeha Qamar lauded the effort, highlighting its alignment with global educational standards. “This portal brings Pakistan one step closer to international best practices in educational governance. By offering a transparent, user-friendly framework, IBCC is facilitating global academic collaborations while safeguarding national academic standards,” she remarked.

The event was attended by key officials, education sector stakeholders, and representatives from foreign examination boards, all of whom welcomed the move as a landmark effort to enhance institutional trust and regulatory clarity.

The portal is seen not only as a technological innovation but as a foundational step towards integrating Pakistan’s education system more closely with international standards. The IBCC reaffirmed its commitment to driving educational reform with integrity, innovation, and global collaboration at the core.
