ICCBS Partners With UK Research Firm to Strengthen Global Scientific Collaboration

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, has entered into a strategic partnership with ZemBioTech Ltd., Edinburgh, Scotland, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing joint research and academic exchange in biotechnology and allied sciences.

The MoU, signed during an online ceremony held at the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, establishes a framework for collaboration in science and technology, with a particular emphasis on joint research projects, academic exchange, and professional training.

The agreement was formally signed by Prof Dr Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of ICCBS, and Dr Nadeem Kardar, Director of ZemBioTech Ltd. Both sides expressed optimism that the partnership would pave the way for cutting-edge innovations and enhance global academic linkages.

Prof Raza Shah highlighted the significance of the collaboration, stating that ICCBS has long been recognized as a leading center of excellence in chemical, biological, and biochemical sciences, offering advanced training and research opportunities for scholars worldwide. He noted that the partnership will provide Pakistani researchers and students greater international exposure and collaborative platforms.

Dr Nadeem Kardar emphasized the importance of the MoU in strengthening Pakistan-UK cooperation in science and technology. He said that ZemBioTech, as a research and development company focused on biotechnology innovation, looks forward to working closely with ICCBS to advance scientific solutions with global impact.
