The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 will take place on its scheduled date, dismissing all speculation about a potential postponement.
The clarification came after the High Court rejected a petition filed by a group of students requesting an extension of the exam date. In a strong statement, the PMDC confirmed that all arrangements for the nationwide test have been finalized, ensuring a transparent and well-managed process.
Council representatives revealed that examination centers have been booked across Pakistan and provincial authorities are fully equipped to facilitate the test. They assured that comprehensive security protocols are in place to maintain a fair and peaceful environment on exam day.
With the printing of question papers completed and admit cards issued, over 140,000 registered candidates are now ready to appear for one of the country’s most competitive entry exams.

The PMDC also highlighted that it has already made several concessions for students, including reopening the registration portal twice and previously rescheduling the test for those affected by floods. A Council spokesperson emphasized, “The Council has provided ample time for all candidates to prepare,” firmly ruling out any further delay.
