Punjab University’s Hailey International Office, in partnership with United People Global (UPG), organized an international session on the UPG Sustainability Leadership Training Program for undergraduate students. The event, attended by over 100 participants, aimed to inspire and educate students about the importance of sustainability and collective efforts to address global challenges.
The session was led by Dr Sadia Farooq, Director of the Hailey International Office, and Deputy Director Hafiz Fawad Ali. Highlighting the significance of sustainable development goals (SDGs), Arooba Sumair, an MS scholar from Hailey College of Commerce (HCC), delivered a compelling presentation on implementing these goals. She emphasized the pivotal role of young leaders in promoting sustainability and driving global development.
Dr Sadia Farooq expressed her commitment to building meaningful partnerships, such as the collaboration with UPG, to provide students with transformative opportunities. “This initiative reflects our dedication to equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to contribute to a sustainable world,” she stated.
Hailey International Office plans to continue collaborating with United People Global on future programs, fostering awareness and preparing students to tackle pressing global issues effectively.
