The University of Sahiwal proudly hosted a solemn and spirited victory ceremony to honor the courageous and resilient armed forces of Pakistan, who recently triumphed over the adversary in a decisive series of battles. The event was graced by the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Javaid Akhtar, who paid heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers and the resilient people of Pakistan for their unity, strength, and unyielding patriotism in the face of aggression.
Addressing a large and emotionally charged gathering of students, faculty, academic- and administrative heads , the Vice Chancellor lauded the heroic sacrifices made by the armed forces and emphasized the role of national unity in securing victory. He declared the event a historic milestone for the country and a moment of immense pride for every Pakistani.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor also encouraged students to honor this victory by contributing meaningfully to the nation’s progress in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. He specifically highlighted the importance of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), urging students to equip themselves with modern tools and knowledge to strengthen the country’s defense and development capabilities.
The ceremony was organized jointly by the Directorate of Student Affairs and the Media Club of the University of Sahiwal. Participants included a diverse audience of students, faculty members, administrative and academic heads. The gathering also featured moving speeches, presentations, and expressions of solidarity, reflecting on the bravery and determination of Pakistan’s armed forces and the collective resolve of the nation.
