UAJK Hosts Delegation from 37th SMC of NIM Peshawar

The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) welcomed a distinguished delegation of senior civil servants from the 37th Senior Management Course (SMC) of the National Institute of Management (NIM) Peshawar, during a special visit to the university’s City Campus on Wednesday.

Representing the university administration, Prof Dr Ayesha Sohail, accompanied by Public Relations Officer Dr Mubashar Naqvi, received the delegation. The visit aimed to promote institutional collaboration and provide the civil servants with insight into UAJK’s academic vision, development initiatives, and community-oriented programs.

As part of the visit, delegates were given a comprehensive briefing on the university’s achievements in academics and research, infrastructural progress, and its strategic roadmap for the future. A documentary film narrating the university’s journey and its role in promoting higher education in the region was also presented.

Prof. Dr Ayesha Sohail shared an in-depth overview of UAJK’s mission and expanding academic footprint, while Dr Naqvi moderated the session, encouraging active dialogue between the university officials and visiting officers. A Q&A session followed, where delegates expressed appreciation for the university’s growth and commitment to academic excellence.

The delegation praised UAJK’s leadership and the hospitality extended during their visit. In a symbolic gesture of goodwill, souvenirs were exchanged between UAJK and NIM representatives, marking a commitment to future cooperation.

The guests also paid their respects at the Martyrs’ Monument at the City Campus, offering Fatiha for students, faculty, and staff who lost their lives in the devastating 2005 earthquake.

UAJK officials emphasized the importance of such engagements in strengthening the bridge between academia and public administration, expressing hope for continued dialogue and collaboration.
