In a major relief for aspiring medical and dental students, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) has announced an extensive extension to the online admission deadlines for MBBS and BDS programmes across Punjab.
The decision, endorsed by the Provincial Admission Committee, is aimed at ensuring maximum participation by giving students additional time to complete their applications. The earlier deadline of November 21 has now been revised across all categories.
Under the new schedule, applicants seeking admission to public sector medical colleges can now submit their forms until November 30. The deadline for private medical colleges has been moved to December 15. Public dental college applicants have until December 31, while those applying to BDS programmes in private dental colleges have the most time, with the final deadline set for January 15, 2026.
A spokesperson for UHS said the extensions were unanimously approved to facilitate students and encourage a higher number of applicants. The decision was finalized during a meeting chaired by Secretary of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, Azmat Mahmood, attended by vice-chancellors of public medical universities.

Officials added that the revised schedule will help students who require extra time to prepare and submit their application documents, ensuring a smoother and more inclusive admission process.
