UMT Retains Place in QS World University Rankings 2027

The University of Management and Technology (UMT) has achieved another major international distinction by securing a place in the prestigious QS World University Rankings 2027 for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its position among the world’s recognized higher education institutions.

According to the latest rankings, UMT has been placed in the 1201–1400 band, joining only 18 universities from Pakistan that succeeded in earning a position in one of the most respected global university ranking systems.

Chairman and President UMT, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, congratulated the university’s faculty members, students, researchers, administration and stakeholders on the achievement. He described UMT’s continued presence in the QS rankings as a matter of pride not only for the institution but also for Pakistan’s higher education sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Murad said that UMT’s inclusion in the global rankings reflects the university’s commitment to academic excellence, quality education, modern infrastructure, experienced faculty and expanding research capabilities. According to him, the university’s consistent appearance in internationally recognized rankings demonstrates its dedication to maintaining global academic standards and creating an environment that supports excellence in teaching and learning.

Murad further stated that the achievement would open new opportunities for students, faculty members and researchers through enhanced academic collaborations, research partnerships and international exchange programs. He added that UMT’s success also highlights the growing credibility and international acceptance of Pakistani universities, contributing positively to the country’s global academic reputation.
