Two employees of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) were selected through a ballot for this year’s Hajj from a number of applicants under the JSMU Hajj Scheme on Wednesday.

Jinnah Sindh Medical University Hajj Scheme balloting was conducted by Vice Chancellor JSMU Professor Amjad Siraj Memon and Registrar JSMU Dr Azam Khan. The selected employees are Azhar Muhammad Khan from the Institute of Medical Technology-JSMU and Muhammad Yamin from the Department of Community Medicine who will be sent on Hajj this year at the University’s expense, explained Chairman Jinnah Sindh Medical University Hajj Committee and Head of Pharmacology, Sindh Medical College (SMC) Professor Muhammad Azhar Mughal.

Vice Chancellor Jinnah Sindh Medical University Prof Amjad Siraj Memon announced the names of the winners and said that fulfilling one of the greatest desires of every Muslim shall go a long way in boosting the morale of staff members.

Professor Muhammad Azhar Mughal congratulated the successful winners and wished them a sacred journey, while Head of Biochemistry Department – Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Professor Imrana Khan highlighted the virtue and importance of Hajj. A large number of teaching and non-teaching staff were present at the event.
