KP Introduces “Insaf Female Education Card” to Support Orphans

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has taken a significant step toward empowering orphaned female students by announcing the launch of the “Insaf Female Education Card.” The initiative, spearheaded by the province’s Higher Education Department, seeks to alleviate the financial burden faced by these students and promote equal access to education.

As part of the program, the Higher Education Department has directed colleges across the province to collect and submit data on orphaned female students enrolled in their institutions. This information will be used to issue the Insaf Female Education Card, which will grant eligible students fee concessions.

The provincial government’s initiative aims to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder the educational aspirations of orphaned girls. In a formal notice circulated to colleges, principals have been instructed to compile and provide the requested data within one week to expedite the process.

This program reflects the KP government’s commitment to advancing female education and addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by vulnerable students. By reducing financial barriers, the Insaf Female Education Card is expected to encourage more orphaned girls to pursue higher education and secure a brighter future.

The announcement has been met with praise from educators and social activists, who see it as a positive step toward fostering inclusivity and equity in education across the province.
