Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced new winter timings for schools across the province, adjusting schedules to protect students from the harsh morning cold.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, the minister stated that schools will now open at 8:45 a.m. and close at 1:30 p.m. The change, aimed at ensuring student safety and comfort, comes as temperatures continue to drop across Punjab.
Although the official notification is yet to be issued, it is expected soon from the Punjab School Education Department (SED). Once released, the revised timings will take effect immediately.
Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has been using his social media platforms to communicate educational updates and administrative reforms directly with the public, allowing parents and teachers to stay informed in real time.

The adjustment mirrors previous winter measures taken by the provincial government to minimize students’ exposure to cold weather during early morning hours.
