The Institute of Ophthalmology of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences on Monday hosted a three-day Ophthalmology Conference titled Current Trend on Ophthalmology.

In which more than 70 research papers were presented by speakers from all over the country. Speaking on the occasion, LUMHS VC Prof. Dr. Ikram Uddin Ujjan who was the special guest of the conference said that the organizers of the conference deserved congratulations on the successful organization of the Ophthalmology Conference.

He said that handing over the management of Hyderabad Eye Hospital to Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro is a good move. On the first day of the conference, a workshop was organized in which corneal transplantation will be done at the Institute of Ophthalmology, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro.

The Vice-Chancellor Isra University Hyderabad Prof. Nazir Ashraf Leghari, Vice-Chancellor People’s Medical University Nawabshah Prof. Gulshan Memon, Former Vice-Chancellor Khyber Medical University Peshawar Prof. Daud Khan, PS Mehr Aga Khan University Karachi Prof. Khan Muhammad, Retired Major General Prof. Mazhar Hussain. General Practitioner, a large number of postgraduate students attended the conference.

“The research has become complex and multidisciplinary, and now it is mandatory for researchers and professors to have knowledge about multiple disciplines,” said Professor Zaidi on a seminar organized by GCU Psychology Department to celebrate 100 years legacy of pioneer academic psychologist, Dr Muhammad Ajmal.
